You should be proud if this is your first walk around the crypto block. It’s not easy to start getting into this material. As you observe the lack of transparency and high barriers to entry in traditional finance, keep a watchful eye on what’s happening in Decentralized Finance.
The future of self-custody will become more ubiquitous and user-friendly as its adoption grows. It may be a chicken-and-egg problem where user-friendliness needs to happen before mass adoption occurs. Only time will tell.
Paralysis by Analysis
There is an overwhelming amount of crypto content out there.
It’s easy to experience paralysis by analysis given the varying levels of quality, usefulness, and obsolescence shared across content channels like Discord, Telegram, Medium, Reddit, and mainly Twitter. These are the big Crypto hubs. Try not to get too involved in crypto groups on Facebook and delete every crypto-related direct message you get on Instagram – those platforms are not where it’s at and are full of scams. There are also plenty of scams on each of the crypto hubs. Be vigilant! 😤

The best way to find good music is by looking into your favorite musician’s influences. If someone in crypto describes things to you in a way that makes sense, look into where they’re getting their information, and you’ll find more good stuff.
